BEIJING, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed lower on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.3 percent to 3,820.09 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.04 percent lower at 13,070.86 points.
The combined turnover of these two indices stood at 2.32 trillion yuan (about 327 billion U.S. dollars), down from 3.14 trillion yuan on the previous trading day.
Stocks related to lithium battery and lithography machine led the gains, while shares related to humanoid robot and innovative medicine saw notable declines.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, lost 0.16 percent to close at 3,091 points. ■
