NEW DELHI, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- At least two Naxals were killed and two policemen wounded in a gunfight in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh, the state-run broadcaster All India Radio (AIR) reported on Thursday.
The gunfight between Naxals and joint contingents of police and paramilitary forces broke out in the forest area of Bijapur district, about 450 km southwest of Raipur, the capital city of Chhattisgarh.
Last week, 10 Naxals, including a senior commander, were killed in a similar gunfight in the state's Gariaband district. ■
