BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- The Cyber Security Brunei (CSB) is intensifying efforts to combat online scams and digital fraud through close cooperation with multiple agencies, including the operation of an anti-scam center, a government minister said Monday.
The Royal Brunei Police Force last month launched its anti-scam helpline to provide first-line assistance for victims or anyone suspecting they have been scammed, Pengiran Shamhary Pengiran Haji Mustapha, minister of transport and infocommunications and the minister in charge of cybersecurity, said at the launch of Brunei's cybersecurity conference and exhibition near the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan.
The Brunei cybersecurity conference and exhibition represents a significant milestone in advancing collaboration and knowledge sharing across the Southeast Asian region.
The exhibition features leading-edge cybersecurity solutions, innovative technologies, and services from leading industry providers. ■
