KABUL, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Police have discovered opium poppy in northern Afghanistan's Kunduz province and arrested two individuals on charges of attempting to smuggle the drug, the Ministry of Interior Affairs said Tuesday.
The two smugglers placed 60 kg of opium poppy in the cavities of a car and attempted to transport the illegal drug out of Kunduz to the southern Helmand province.
The drug traffickers would be handed over to the judiciary. ■
