KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia was targeting export sales of 230 million ringgit (54.7 million U.S. dollars) at the upcoming 22nd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) in Nanning, China.

The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) said in a statement that it was rolling out a strategic push through a series of concurrent programs, maximizing its presence at the CAEXPO.

With the targeted export sales, it said Malaysia's continuous presence reflected its strategic ambition to deepen trade and investment linkages with China and the wider ASEAN region.

The Malaysian delegation brings together over 70 organizations, including three ministries, six key government agencies and a wide range of Malaysian exhibitors of diverse industries.

"This year, we are proud to highlight a broad spectrum of offerings from education, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, construction materials and high-value sectors such as logistics and distribution solutions, technology and artificial intelligence," said Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz, chief executive officer of MATRADE.

"Our goal is to position Malaysia as a forward-looking, trusted and competitive trading partner in the region," he said.
