ABU DHABI, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and French President Emmanuel Macron condemned the recent Israeli attack on Qatari territory during a phone call on Thursday.
During the conversation, they described the attack as a violation of Qatar's sovereignty and a threat to regional security and stability, reported the Emirates News Agency.
The two heads of state emphasized the importance of intensifying international efforts to establish an independent Palestinian state based on the two-state solution, which they regard as the path to lasting peace in the region.
They also reaffirmed their rejection of any Israeli attempts to annex parts of the West Bank or other occupied Palestinian territories, or to forcibly displace Palestinians, warning that such actions would undermine regional stability and hinder the implementation of the two-state solution in accordance with international law. ■
