KABUL, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- A total of 182 Afghan nationals set free by Pakistan from jails recently returned to their homeland on Wednesday, reported the state-run Radio and Television of Afghanistan (RTA) on Thursday.
The state-owned media outlet added that all the repatriated former detainees have been transported to their home provinces after receiving necessary assistance.
Hundreds of Afghans have been set free from Pakistani prisons over the past couple of months and returned to their homeland.
Pakistan, home to more than 3 million Afghan refugees, has asked all foreign nationals living there illegally to leave the host country. ■
