BISHKEK, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov on Tuesday condemned Israel's air raid on the Qatari capital of Doha.
"These actions violate the principles of international law and the UN Charter, and also undermine the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the State of Qatar," the president said in a statement.
Israel launched an unprecedented airstrike on Doha on Tuesday, targeting a building used by senior Hamas officials in what Israeli authorities described as an attempt to kill leaders of the Palestinian group.
Qatar has long acted as a mediator in ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas. Doha hosts Hamas's political bureau and has played a key role in facilitating humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, an enclave of Palestine. ■
