GENEVA, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- Global sports business conference SportAccord will stage its 2026 convention in Baku from May 24 to 28.
The Host City Agreement was signed Monday by SportAccord President Ugur Erdener, Azerbaijan's Minister of Youth and Sport Farid Gayibov, and the Baku City Circuit Operations Company.
The Baku Convention Center will host the 19th edition of the annual gathering, which brings together the International Olympic Committee, international federations, host cities and rights holders to discuss the future of sport.
"We are thrilled to bring the world's most important gathering of sports leaders, the SportAccord Convention, to Baku in 2026," Erdener said. "This will be a significant moment both for SportAccord and the entire global sports industry." ■
