SINGAPORE, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's National Gallery reopened on Wednesday following a fire that broke out in a staff area on Tuesday morning, prompting a temporary closure.

The fire was quickly contained, with no injuries reported and no artworks affected, the National Gallery said in a Facebook post.

After safety checks, parts of the gallery reopened on Tuesday, with full reopening on Wednesday.

All staff and visitors were promptly evacuated as a precaution on Tuesday. Following thorough inspections by the Singapore Civil Defence Force, the gallery has been declared safe, according to a notice on the gallery's official website.
