KABUL, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- The Afghan government has described the recent Israeli air strikes on Qatar's capital Doha as a "barbaric act" and strongly condemned it, reported the state-run Radio and Television of Afghanistan (RTA) on Tuesday night.
Describing the attack as a blatant violation of Qatar's sovereignty and an open breach of all international laws, the state-owned media outlet cautioned that repetition of such aggressions would widen the scope of conflicts in the region.
Israeli airstrikes, which are the first of their kind on Qatar, reportedly targeted the office of the Palestinian resistance group Hamas, which has been fighting the Israeli troops since October 2003 in the Gaza region. ■
