MEXICO CITY -- At least 10 people were killed and over 40 others injured when a double-deck passenger bus was hit by a freight train in central Mexico on Monday, authorities said.
The collision occurred on the Atlacomulco-Maravatio federal highway in the Atlacomulco municipality, the State of Mexico, according to media reports. (Mexico-Accident-Train)

PRAGUE -- About 30 people were injured after a bus carrying students overturned in the Moravian-Silesian region of northeastern Czech Republic on Monday, police and rescuers said.
The accident happened in the morning in Stare Hamry. Regional fire rescue officials said all 32 students on the bus were injured. Citing rescuers, Czech Television reported that two adults were also hurt. It said most of the injuries were minor to moderate and no lives were at risk. PARIS -- French Prime Minister Francois Bayrou on Monday lost a confidence vote in the French National Assembly over his budget plan seeking to save billions of euros per year in government spending.
According to the results announced by the Speaker of the French National Assembly, Yael Braun-Pivet, only 194 were in favor of Bayrou out of 558 valid votes. JERUSALEM -- At least five people were killed on Monday when two gunmen opened fire on a bus near a busy junction, Israeli authorities said.
Police said security personnel and a civilian returned fire shortly after the shooting began, killing the attackers. (Israel-Bus shooting) ■
