ISLAMABAD, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's footwear exports increased by over 49 percent during the first month of the current fiscal year, which started from July 2025 to June 2026, compared to the same period of the last fiscal year, officials from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) said on Tuesday.
The country exported footwear worth 17.59 million U.S. dollars during the month of July 2025 as opposed to the export of 11.79 million dollars during July of last fiscal year, showing a growth of 49.14 percent, the PBS officials said.
Meanwhile, on a month-on-month basis, the exports of footwear products increased by 19.88 percent during July 2025 in contrast to the exports of 14.67 million dollars in June 2025, the PBS said.
Among the footwear products that contributed to the increased exports were leather footwear, canvas footwear, and others, according to the PBS. ■
