HONG KONG, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong stocks rallied on Tuesday, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index climbing 1.19 percent to close at 25,938.13 points.
The gauge opened 77.16 points higher at 25,711.07 points and gained momentum in the morning to top 26,000 -- its highest intraday level in nearly four years -- before trimming gains.
The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index edged up 1.32 percent to end at 9,242.40 points, and the Hang Seng Tech Index jumped 1.30 percent to end at 5,828.74 points. ■
