MANILA, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- Philippine Senator Vicente Sotto became the new president of the Senate, replacing Francis Escudero on Monday, local media reported.
Sotto was Senate minority leader before becoming Senate president, a position which he previously held from 2018 to 2022. ■
