Israeli army announces new humanitarian zone in Gaza Strip
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Saturday announced a new humanitarian zone in the southern Gaza Strip ahead of its planned operation to capture Gaza City in the north.

The IDF said that the newly designated area contains key humanitarian infrastructure, including field hospitals, water pipelines and desalination facilities, while also ensuring the continued delivery of food, tents, medicines and medical equipment.
Rafah crossing not passage for displacing Palestinians: Egyptian FM
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty on Saturday reaffirmed that the Rafah crossing, the only channel linking Egypt with the Gaza Strip, will not be a passage for displacing the Palestinians from their land.
In a joint press conference with Philippe Lazzarini, commissioner-general of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, Abdelatty explained that "the Rafah crossing is only for the delivery of aid, not displacement."
"It's absurd to say that the Palestinian people want to leave their land, but rather they are driven by a policy of starvation," he added.

He made the remarks at a conference in Tehran while commenting on the future cooperation between Iran and the UN nuclear watchdog, as well as the results of a new round of talks between the two sides, which began in Vienna on Friday, according to the official news agency IRNA.
"As far as I know, good negotiations have been held and we are very close to arriving at a new cooperation framework with the agency itself," said Araghchi.■
