NEW DELHI, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- India's foreign exchange reserves increased 3.51 billion U.S. dollars to 694.230 billion dollars during the week ending on Aug. 29, the central bank said on Friday.
During the preceding week, forex reserves had fallen 4.386 billion dollars.
Foreign currency assets rose 1.686 billion dollars to 583.937 billion dollars, while gold reserves increased 1.766 billion dollars to 86.769 billion dollars.
Special drawing rights increased 40 million dollars to 18.775 billion dollars, and the country's reserves position at the International Monetary Fund improved 18 million dollars to 4.749 billion dollars. ■
