NEW DELHI, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- At least three persons died and a few others were buried under the debris of two houses hit by a major landslide in India's northern hilly state of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday, local police said.
The landslide occurred in Sundernagar area of the state's Mandi district at around 6:00 p.m., according to the police.
Rescue teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the local administration had reached the area hit by the landslide. As per the latest reports, a search was on for the missing persons. ■
