HONG KONG, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 jolted 34 km NE of Jalalabad, Afghanistan at 1229 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 34.67 degrees north latitude and 70.68 degrees east longitude. ■
