ISLAMABAD -- Rain-related incidents across Pakistan claimed 31 lives and injured 26 others from Sunday to Monday, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said on Monday.

The eastern Punjab province recorded the highest number of fatalities, with 25 people losing their lives, including eight children and two women. KABUL -- The death toll from the earthquake in eastern Afghanistan's Kunar and Nangarhar provinces has risen to 622, with 1,555 others injured, the country's Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement on Monday.
