SEOUL, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- South Korea's online shopping rose in single digits in July due to solid demand for food, food delivery service and cars, statistical office data showed Monday.
Shopping in cyberspace gained 7.3 percent from a year earlier to 23.03 trillion won (16.5 billion U.S. dollars) in July, according to Statistics Korea. It marked the highest since relevant data began to be compiled in 2017.
Transaction of food and beverage in cyberspace spiked 12.6 percent, and those for agricultural, livestock and fishery products jumped 16.8 percent. ■
