HONG KONG, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 jolted 36 km north of Bāsawul, Afghanistan, at 1917 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 34.57 degrees north latitude and 70.87 degrees east longitude. ■
