BEIJING, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- In midsummer, crops thrive across the vast land in the region of North Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan. By September, this region will be abuzz with a bustling harvest scene.
Actively responding to the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), China's Xi'an Aiju Grain and Oil Industrial Group established an agricultural industrial park dedicated to the deep processing of local crops in North Kazakhstan a decade ago.
Aiju, in partnership with China's Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University, a Kazakhstan's university and local farmers, established an agricultural cooperative featuring the order-based farming mode. The group further implemented a full-chain operation mechanism covering planting, management, harvesting, and storage, which proved effective in guiding local farmers on crop cultivation.

Nowadays, Aiju agricultural products logistics and processing park has become a key project in China-Kazakhstan green cooperation, earning great recognition from local residents.

China-Kazakhstan agricultural cooperation under the BRI has benefited an increasing number of civilians through freight train services. A China-Europe freight train loaded with 1,300 tonnes of flour products from Kazakhstan arrived at Aiju's agricultural products logistics and processing park in Xi'an on Jan. 10, 2025.

Departing from Kazakhstan's North Kazakhstan region, the freight train headed directly toward the Aiju agricultural products logistics and processing park at the Xi'an Chanba International Port, achieving a "door-to-door" delivery between warehouses in the two countries. This significantly enhanced cargo transportation efficiency and reduced costs for enterprises.
The successful practice of Aiju has not only enabled Kazakhstan's high-quality agricultural products to enter the Chinese market, but also empowered local industrial upgrading with Chinese technology.
