ISTANBUL, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- Türkiye unveiled its homegrown maritime and underwater technologies on Thursday with the launch of a maritime fair in Istanbul.
At the opening ceremony of the fair, Teknofest Blue Homeland, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the country's defense industry is achieving remarkable progress across all fields.
During the four-day event, the Turkish Naval Forces will showcase some of its most advanced vessels, including the TCG Anadolu amphibious assault ship, TCG Istanbul frigate, TCG Burgazada anti-submarine corvette, TCG Orucreis frigate, and TCG Nusret minelayer, according to local media.
The fair will also host a series of competitions, including the Unmanned Underwater Systems Competition, the Underwater Rocket Competition, and the Unmanned Surface Vehicle Competition. ■
