TASHKENT, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- Uzbekistan and Japan have agreed to strengthen bilateral relations and expand multifaceted cooperation, local media reported on Thursday.
Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation headed by Takeshi Iwaya, Japanese minister of foreign affairs, the Uzbek presidential press service was quoted as saying.
The meeting focused on deepening political dialogue, and promoting practical projects in the trade and economic, investment, financial and technological fields, as well as cultural and people-to-people cooperation. ■
