PRAGUE -- Czech police said Wednesday they were responding to "a massive gas leak" in the country's southeastern city of Brno.
"Thirty people have been evacuated from six surrounding buildings on Cacovicka Street," police said on social media platform X, adding that the street has been closed and gas engineers were on site to locate the leak. (Czech Republic-Gas leak)

TEHRAN -- Iran and the three European countries of France, Britain and Germany, collectively known as the E3, have agreed to continue their contacts in the coming days, the Iranian foreign ministry said on Tuesday.

KABUL -- At least 25 passengers lost their lives and 27 others sustained injuries when a bus overturned in the west of the Afghan capital Kabul, on Wednesday morning, an official from the Ministry of Interior Affairs reported.

SAO PAULO -- Brazil's Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered a round-the-clock monitoring of former President Jair Bolsonaro for fear that he could attempt to flee house arrest ahead of a verdict in his coup attempt trial.
