ISLAMABAD, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's transport services exports surged to 981.47 million U.S. dollars in the fiscal year 2024-25, up 27.9 percent from a year earlier, official data showed.
Air transport services accounted for the largest share, rising 24.13 percent to 778.26 million dollars. Within this category, passenger services declined 7.72 percent to 410.86 million dollars, but freight services surged 120.03 percent to 28.55 million dollars, while exports of other air transport services nearly doubled, growing 100.82 percent to 338.84 million dollars.
Exports of sea transport services climbed 34.26 percent year-on-year to 147.23 million dollars, including a 51.76 percent rise in freight services to 93.52 million dollars and an 11.82 percent increase in other sea transport services to 53.70 million dollars.
Exports of road transport services increased 58.67 percent to 40.07 million dollars, with freight services up 34.90 percent and other road services up 63.28 percent.
Meanwhile, postal and courier services registered the fastest growth, surging 187.46 percent to 15.93 million dollars. ■
