BANGKOK -- Thailand's employment growth remained stable in the second quarter of 2025 compared to a year earlier, supported by a marginal expansion in the non-agricultural sector, official data showed on Monday.

KABUL -- Three members of a family perished in a car truck collision in western Afghanistan's Nimroz province on Monday, bringing the number of casualties of the road-related accidents to nine in Afghanistan over the past two days, police said.

COLOMBO -- Sri Lanka's exports rose to nearly 10 billion U.S. dollars in the first seven months of 2025, up 7.79 percent from the corresponding period in 2024, the Export Development Board (EDB) said Monday.

According to the EDB, merchandise exports totaled around 7.8 billion dollars, reflecting a 7.22 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024, while services exports brought in about 2.19 billion dollars. (Sri Lanka-Export)

JAKARTA -- Indonesia's carbon market has recorded transactions worth 78.37 billion rupiah (about 4.82 million U.S. dollars) from its official launch on Sept. 26, 2023 to Aug. 22, 2025, the Indonesia Carbon Exchange announced on Monday.

"Although most transactions are from listed companies and their subsidiaries, our service users are increasingly diverse, including many carbon market players who are starting to retail carbon trading," said Ignatius Denny Wicaksono, head of business development division 2 at the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
