ISLAMABAD, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan reported two new cases of polio in the northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, bringing the total number of the disease-infected children to 23 so far this year, the Health Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
The new cases were reported from North Waziristan and Tank districts of the province.
Despite significant progress, the continued detection of polio cases remained a serious concern in Pakistan. ■
