ISLAMABAD, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- Imports of food commodities into Pakistan during the first month of the current 2025-26 fiscal year grew 44.90 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) said on Tuesday.
During the month, food commodities worth 743.879 million U.S. dollars were imported, according to the PBS.
The PBS said that the food commodities included milk, cream, food for infants, dry fruits, nuts, tea, spices and pulses. ■
