KABUL, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Three members of a family perished in a car truck collision in western Afghanistan's Nimroz province on Monday, bringing the number of casualties of the road-related accidents to nine in Afghanistan over the past two days, police said.
The deadly mishap occurred on a road outside provincial capital Zaranj city, killing a man, his wife and their child, provincial police spokesman Mawlawi Gul Mohammad Qudrat confirmed.
This is the second road accident since Monday morning and the third one since Sunday. ■
