COLOMBO, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- The Maldivian government has collected biometric data from over 174,000 migrant workers in the country, state-owned PSM News reported on Thursday.
Biometric data for 174,152 migrant workers have been recorded in a centralized national database, since the initiative was launched on May 2, 2024, PSM News said.
The campaign is led by the Ministry of Homeland Security and Technology. ■
