DAMASCUS, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- A bomb hidden inside an old car exploded on Saturday night near the Golden Mezzeh Hotel in the Mezzeh district of Damascus, Syrian state news agency SANA reported.
The blast, which could be heard across the western part of the capital, did not result in any casualties, according to SANA.
Authorities have yet to release further details about the incident. ■
