KATHMANDU, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- The Gai Jatra, or the Cow Festival, was marked across Nepal to commemorate family members who passed away in the past year.
Children are often dressed up as cows, believed to guide departed souls to heaven. The festival fell on Aug. 10 this year.
