BANGKOK, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI) launched its two major events here on Saturday to foster the nation's sustainable economy through multidisciplinary power.
In her opening remarks, MHESI Minister Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol said the annual MHESI Fair and the National Science and Technology (NST) Fair 2025 serve as platforms that inspire creativity and action, while also providing opportunities for youth, researchers, entrepreneurs, and the public to shape Thailand's future by merging science and the arts into true innovation.
The ministry is committed to advancing its "Creating Wisdom, Opening Opportunities, and Building Thailand's Future" policy by promoting equitable education and integrating science, research, and innovation into national development, Sudawan said
The MHESI Fair features seven themed zones, ranging from interactive learning and innovation showcases to a nationwide craft market, along with highlights such as China's polar research icebreaker Xuelong 2.
The NST Fair offered exhibits on quantum science, brain research, climate-resilient seed banks, and inventions by young innovators, as well as interactive science activities. The events, themed "Creators of Tomorrow" and "Science in Action! For Sustainable Communities," respectively, will continue until Aug 17. ■
