KHARTOUM -- At least 16 civilians were killed and eight others injured in an attack by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on a village in North Kordofan State, western Sudan, volunteer groups said on Friday.

"Yesterday (Thursday) evening, RSF forces attacked the village of Markaz Al-Ziyadiya in North Kordofan State," which also left six individuals missing, the Sudanese Doctors Network, a volunteer group, said in a statement. (Sudan-RSF-Attacks)

SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi group claimed responsibility for three drone attacks on Israel carried out earlier on Friday, according to a televised statement aired by the Houthi-run al-Masirah TV.

JERUSALEM -- More than 1,000 aid packages have been airdropped over the Gaza Strip since the resumption of the international airdrop operation in late July, with the participation of nine countries, the Israel Defense Forces said on Friday.

CAIRO -- At least seven people were killed and 44 others wounded on Friday in a collision involving a bus and two trucks on the desert road in Egypt's Giza province, the Al-Masry Al-Youm website reported.
