MANILA -- The Philippine House of Representatives has filed a motion urging the Supreme Court to reconsider its ruling that blocked the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte, House Speaker Martin Romualdez said Monday.

HONG KONG -- Chris Tang Ping-keung, secretary for security of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government, on Monday exercised the powers conferred by relevant sections of the Safeguarding National Security Ordinance to specify 16 overseas activists wanted for alleged national security offences.
The 16 persons are subject to warrants of arrest issued by the court for being suspected of having committed offences endangering national security outside the HKSAR. KUALA LUMPUR -- Thai and Cambodian officials have arrived in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, for the General Border Committee meeting, as part of efforts to resolve the conflict between the two countries.

BANGKOK -- Suspended Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has submitted her formal statement to the Constitutional Court defending against allegations of ethics violations, PM's Secretary General Prommin Lertsuridej said on Monday.

HANOI -- Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Monday called for breakthroughs in the semiconductor industry to help achieve the country's economic growth target of 8.3 to 8.5 percent this year.
