CHENGDU, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- The Athletes' Village for the Chengdu World Games has officially opened on Saturday.
Dubbed the "Chengdu Home", the village will provide service for around 7,000 participants worldwide from August 3 to 18.
The opening ceremony, held at the Tianfu International Hotel, attracted over 200 officials from the International World Games Association (IWGA), athletes, village staff members and volunteers.
"The quality of the accommodation is just amazing," said Guillaume Felli, deputy CEO of IWGA. "I'm sure the athletes will have the great accommodation to really perform at their best during the Games." ■
