KATHMANDU, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) -- Nepal welcomed 70,193 foreign tourists in July, up 8.7 percent over the same month of last year, the Nepal Tourism Board said on Friday.
Total foreign arrivals in the past seven months reached 647,882, up from 647,615 in the same period of 2024, the board said in a report.
India, China and the United States were the top sources of tourists for Nepal during the period, noted the report.
Tourism is a major source of foreign exchange for Nepal. ■
