DHAKA, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh is gearing up its drives as the country is set to graduate from the Least Developed Country (LDC) status next year.
The Bangladeshi interim government's Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus Wednesday ordered the authorities concerned to arrange a meeting within the next two months on finding better ways of coping with the emerging challenges in light of the LDC graduation.
Yunus said it is "fundamental issues" to move forward by changing the policies and laws that are not working, according to Chief Adviser's Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder.
Bangladesh is set to graduate from the LDC category to a developing nation in November 2026. ■
