GAZA -- The Palestinian death toll from ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has surpassed 60,000, Gaza's health authorities said in a statement on Tuesday.

TEHRAN -- Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei rejected the claim that Iran had interfered in the ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas, according to a statement released by the Iranian Foreign Ministry early Tuesday.
Baghaei's remarks came in response to U.S. President Donald Trump's comments a day earlier alleging that Iran had intervened in the latest round of talks over Gaza ceasefire. ISTANBUL -- Forest fire in Türkiye's northwestern province of Bursa was largely brought under control by Tuesday, with fire-fighting efforts continuing at the one remaining spot, authorities announced.

RAMALLAH -- The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned on Tuesday against a gradual annexation of the Gaza Strip by Israel as a prelude to the displacement of its population.
"We warn of the dangers of the occupation's plans for the gradual annexation of the Gaza Strip," the ministry said in a press statement, considering it "a conspiracy to forcibly displace the population of the Strip and undermine the opportunity to establish a Palestinian state on the ground."
