BERLIN, July 27 (Xinhua) -- A train accident occurred Sunday in the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg, resulting in multiple fatalities. Several others were injured, the German Press Agency reported, citing safety authorities.
The regional train derailed near Reutlingen. The area had been affected by a storm earlier, according to the report.
Local public safety authorities have declared a "mass casualty incident." The head of the state's interior department is en route to the scene of the accident, the report added. ■
