MOSCOW, July 25 (Xinhua) -- The flight recorders of a Russian An-24 plane were found at the crash site and will soon be delivered to Moscow for decoding, the Russian Ministry of Transport said Friday.
The An-24 aircraft, operated by Angara Airlines, was en route from Khabarovsk to Tynda with a stopover in Blagoveshchensk. The aircraft was expected to contact air traffic controllers at a control checkpoint near Tynda airport, but failed to check in. The wreckage was later found on a mountainside approximately 15 km from the city of Tynda.
The ministry earlier said that 42 passengers and six crew members were on the crashed plane, including five children. ■
