JERUSALEM, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Israel's imports of goods from China increased by 22.1 percent year-on-year in the first half (H1) of 2025, according to a recent report issued by the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics.

Israel's import value from China between January and June reached 6.57 billion U.S. dollars, up from 5.38 billion dollars during the same period in 2024, said the report released on Thursday.

Tomer Fadlon, a researcher with Israel's Institute for National Security Studies, told Xinhua that the increase reflects the attractiveness of the Chinese products, in terms of quality and price.

Fadlon emphasized the ongoing growth in Chinese car imports to Israel, which has contributed significantly to the overall rise in Israeli imports from China.

With the latest figures, China remains Israel's largest source of imports in the first half of 2025, accounting for 14.5 percent of all imports, which totaled 45.45 billion dollars in the period.
