KABUL, July 25 (Xinhua) -- A clash over land ownership has claimed one life and injured seven others in the eastern Afghanistan Nangarhar province on Friday, provincial police spokesman Sayed Tayeb Hemad said.
The clash erupted between two families on a piece of land in Rodat district, leaving one dead and injuring seven others, the official said, adding police reached the area and shifted the injured persons to the hospital.
Similar fighting between two groups on a goldmine in the northern Badakhshan province left at least one dead a couple of days ago. ■
