LONDON, July 23 (Xinhua) -- Two people have died and two others were injured in a shooting incident Wednesday morning in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, police have confirmed.
"We can advise there is no ongoing risk to the public," said a spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).
Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) Assembly Member Deborah Erskine called for restraint and urged the public to avoid speculation while police investigations continue. "This is truly shocking and has stunned the entire community," she said.
Sinn Fein MP Pat Cullen also expressed her sympathies, saying, "My thoughts are with the victims and their families at this tragic time." She added, "I would urge people not to speculate on the details of this tragic and shocking incident." ■
