NEW YORK, July 22 (Xinhua) -- General Motors' (GM) net income slumped 35 percent to 1.89 billion U.S. dollars in the second quarter of 2025, as U.S. governmental tariffs cost the U.S. automaker 1.1 billion dollars.
The GM revenues in the quarter declined 1.8 percent to 47.12 billion dollars from 47.97 billion dollars a year ago, still topping the market's estimate of 45.84 billion, according to the GM quarterly performance report released Tuesday.
The automaker giant is anticipating a 4-5 billion dollars gross tariff impact this year. ■
