YAOUNDE -- At least two children were killed in a bomb explosion early Monday in Cameroon's Far North region, according to locals and security sources.
The children were trekking along the Bargaram-Abasouni Road in the Logone-et-Chari division of the region when they stepped on an improvised explosive device (IED), and it exploded, said a security source in the region. (Cameroon-Far North-Boko Haram)

NEW DELHI -- At least three people were killed and three others injured Monday in an explosion at a firecracker factory in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, police said.
The blast took place near Sivakasi area of Virudhunagar district, about 540 km southwest of Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu. (India-Blast)

JAKARTA -- At least five people were confirmed dead and four others injured in a road accident in Indonesia's western province of Riau on Sunday night, local police said on Monday.
According to a preliminary investigation, the crash occurred in Pelalawan regency and involved three vehicles, a truck loaded with tree logs, a freight truck and a minibus carrying seven passengers. (Indonesia-Road Accident)

DHAKA -- At least 19 people, mostly students, were killed as a training aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force crashed on the campus of a college here on Monday.
