ISLAMABAD, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Three terrorists affiliated with the outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed in a joint intelligence-based operation in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, police said Thursday.
The operation was carried out late Wednesday night by regional police and the Counter Terrorism Department on the outskirts of Bannu district based on a tip-off, according to a police statement.
During the raid, law enforcement forces recovered rifles, pistols, and handmade explosive devices, the statement said. ■
