TOKYO, July 17 (Xinhua) -- The approval rating for the cabinet of Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba slipped 6.2 percentage points from the previous month to 20.8 percent in July, marking its lowest ever level, a Jiji Press survey showed Thursday.
The disapproval rating, meanwhile, jumped 6.6 percentage points to 55.0 percent, the highest since the launch of Ishiba's administration in October last year, according to the opinion poll.
The survey found that 29.7 percent of those disapproving of the cabinet said they have no hopes for it, 21.9 percent said it lacks leadership and 21.6 percent disapproved of its policies. ■
